Is Lilly Allen right to portray the British National Party as "small minded" & "living a life full of hatred"?
Recently, and since the election of two BNP members to the European Parliament (MEPs representing the United Kingdom in Europe from both the North West and North East of England) - Lilly Allen, rock/pop artist performed a song (you can hear it on You Tube if you like)...the song was in direct response to the election of two BNP members..in the song, she satires and rebuffs them in very clear terms as being members of a small minded party, a party full of racists and thugs bent on hatred against their fellow Britons and by extension Britain's foreign guests, not only just immigrants coming into Britain but as a bi-product of that racism, which seams to be aimed squarely at immigrants in particular, but also Black & Asian British (Britain has a long history of steady integration from Black and Asian immigrant families that have come to live and work in Britain for years and years). The BNP also aims it's undermining comments for *Eastern Europeans (*who are surely entitled to be in the UK through their membership of the European Union) - It is suggested also the BNP by it's comments insults Britain's foreign tourists too. Is Lilly Allen right to infer, suggest and portray the British National Party as a racist, small minded and a hate filled party?
