Has anyone had laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication (GERD Surgery)?

I have not had the procedure done, but my Mom did in July. She is so thankful she had the procedure done. The recovery process is long, but has been going smoothly for her. She can eat many things now that she couldn't before, but still has some challenges with certain foods. Activities during the recovery process have been restricted, but once she is fully recovered (probably in November) then she will be able to resume all normal activities. No two experiences are alike so keep that in mind when reviewing different feedback. Do plenty of research on the procedure and the surgeon before making your decision.
