How do i re light the pilot light on my boiler ?

I've not long noticed my radiators aren't working and have no hot water. They sound like they should be working but the flame symbol on the boiler isn't on so i'm uming the pilot light has gone out. House is agency rented (ie, agency not open this week) and only been here few months so no previous experience of the boiler, and no instructions/ info. All i know is my daughter and me are really cold and i haven't got a clue
